If handcraft interests you, there are two handcraft co-operatives on the streets close to Kungstorget in central Uddevalla, Slöjdhuset and Hantverkskollektivet. On Kungsgatan you will find Nya Nyttokonst, which also exhibits work by guest artisans. During the summer Hantverksglädje exhibits and sells handcraft at Bokenäs community centre. In addition there is a summer exhibition at Lanegården. Backamo is the location of a large handcraft exhibition during the first weekend in July. Many regional craftsmen come together at Bohusläns museum to exhibit their wares at the Mid-winter exhibition, which takes place in December each year.

You will find antiques at Antik-Harry, his specialist area being furniture and lamps, as well as at Auktionsverket and at Antikt & Kuriosa.
On Saturday mornings you will find a long queue of bargain hunters waiting patiently for the doors to open at the Pingstkyrkan's jumble sale. The ”Backamoloppan” jumble sale takes place at the former Backamo barracks to the south of Ljungskile.

All kinds of turkey delicacies are sold at Skansens farm shop, and during the summer there are also pick-your-own vegetables on sale. Interior furnishing items are for sale at Kärrstegens Gård in Ljungskile, from an old house full to the brim with artifacts.
