The whole town is out partying during the Fiord Festival, held in July, which is based on a lot of music, dance and fun activity for the whole family. The festivities this year start on July 26 with a finale on July 29.
For over a decade the Fiord Festival has been the major summer event in Uddevalla. Everybody can have their pick from a lots of fun. For children there are exciting theatre performances, a fun fair and other activities. Teenagers can indulge in the bands playing on the demo scene and every night well-known Swedish artists enter the main stage.
If dancing is your thing don’t miss the dancing tent where some of Sweden’s most popular dance bands play nightly. In the restaurant tents troubadours entertain while you have a meal or drink.
In the daytime you can stroll around on the look out for bargains from the market stalls or at the antique market held at Kungstorget. Or just enjoy a relaxed small town atmosphere.
